Padres Sign Donovan Tate:

The San Diego Padres have signed their first overall pick Donovan Tate to a deal that gives him a $6.25 million signing bonus. This move really hurts the North Carolina Tar Heels as they lose both a center fielder and a defensive back as Tate signs with the Friars. Tate was the top offensive prep prospect in the draft.
